Kitchens
Layout, cabinets, countertops, lighting, and the plumbing and wiring behind the walls. We build kitchens to be cooked in every day.
Black Jacket Builders · Illinois
Built right. Built beautiful.
Bespoke residential builds across Illinois.
We build homes and offices in the western suburbs. You get a written scope and one crew to call.
You send us the picture. We build the room.
How we build
Homes and offices,
built the same way.
You send us a picture of what you want. We build it, from the framing and the exterior shell to the finish work, and we run the trades behind the walls. A home gets the same crew as an office.
We write the scope down in plain terms and hire people we would want on our own jobs. If we are the wrong builder for your project, we will tell you early.

What we take on
The work.
Baths
Primary baths and hall baths. We do the waterproofing first, then the tile and fixtures, and we set them so they hold up.
Additions
New rooms that look like they were always part of the house. One team handles the framing, the exterior, and the finishes, so when something needs fixing you know who to call.
Commercial
Offices and tenant build-outs: reception, work rooms, and the back rooms. We build them so you can open your doors to a finished space.
Finished work
Job 01.
Job 01 was an office renovation in St. Charles, and it is finished. We redid the reception, the work rooms, the lighting, and the finishes. The photo library has the before, the work in progress, the owner’s design drawings, and the finished exterior. It was a neighbor’s office, and we ran it the way we would for family. We have homes on the board too.

Photos of the room today
Take a few photos with your phone of the room as it is now, whether it is a house or an office. That is where we start.
Share your inspiration
Paste your Pinterest board, or upload inspiration photos. Our intake tool reads the pictures you already saved so we can see the look you want.
Get a number
We send back a price you can plan around, a schedule, and a list of what has to stay open. We settle the selections up front so nothing gets decided on site.
Build it
You get one person to call. The trades are people we would use on our own jobs. We work to keep your house livable or your office on schedule, and we call you before you have to call us.
Service area
Western suburbs, close to home.
We stay close so we can be on site the same day a decision needs making. That means Carol Stream, West Chicago, Warrenville, and the towns around them.
